A short essay that strikes me most

Some of you say, "Joy is greater thar sorrow," and others say, "Nay, sorrow is the greater."
But I say unto you, they are inseparable.
Together they come, and when one sits, alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.
By: Kahlil Gibran (joy ans sorrow)

In our lives we've experience joy and sorrow. In a day that we've experience joy the next day  later we will experience sorrow, they said that's what  life is. But for me life is what you make it. Sometimes, life is unfair because we tend to feel that sorrow is the only thing lies  in our lives. And we feel that we couldn't lean on to someone or to a somebody. For me our sorrows  serves as the path towards joy and same way also. If you want to experienced joy , you must experience first sorrows and pains.Always remember that because fof sorrow we experience joy.

       Khalil Gibran

Khalil Gibran (born Gubran Khalil Gubran[1] bin Mikhā'īl bin Sa'ad; Arabic جبران خليل جبران بن ميخائيل بن سعد, January 3, 1883 – April 10, 1931) also known as Kahlil Gibran,[2] was a Lebanese American artist, poet, and writer. Born in the town of Bsharri in modern-day Lebanon (then part of the Ottoman Mount Lebanon mutasarrifate), as a young man he immigrated with his family to the United States where he studied art and began his literary career. He is chiefly known in the English speaking world for his 1923 book The Prophet, a series of philosophical essays written in English prose. An early example of Inspirational fiction, the book sold well despite a cool critical reception, and became extremely popular in the 1960s counterculture.[3] Gibran is the third best-selling poet of all time, behind Shakespeare and Lao-Tzu.[4]

Another Gibran poetic essay that interests me most..

                                                            Freedom

                                              By: Kalil Gibran

And an orator said, "Speak to us of Freedom."
      And he answered:
At the city gate and by your fireside I have seen you prostrate yourself and worship your own freedom,
Even as slaves humble themselves before a tyrant and praise him though he slays them.
Ay, in the grove of the temple and in the shadow of the citadel I have seen the freest among you wear their freedom as a yoke and a handcuff.
And my heart bled within me; for you can only be free when even the desire of seeking freedom becomes a harness to you, and when you cease to speak of freedom as a goal and a fulfillment.
You shall be free indeed when your days are not without a care nor your nights without a want and a grief,
But rather when these things girdle your life and yet you rise above them naked and unbound.
And how shall you rise beyond your days and nights unless you break the chains which you at the dawn of your understanding have fastened around your noon hour?
In truth that which you call freedom is the strongest of these chains, though its links glitter in the sun and dazzle the eyes.
And what is it but fragments of your own self you would discard that you may become free?
If it is an unjust law you would abolish, that law was written with your own hand upon your own forehead.
You cannot erase it by burning your law books nor by washing the foreheads of your judges, though you pour the sea upon them.
And if it is a despot you would dethrone, see first that his throne erected within you is destroyed.
For how can a tyrant rule the free and the proud, but for a tyranny in their own freedom and a shame in their won pride?
And if it is a care you would cast off, that care has been chosen by you rather than imposed upon you.
And if it is a fear you would dispel, the seat of that fear is in your heart and not in the hand of the feared.
Verily all things move within your being in constant half embrace, the desired and the dreaded, the repugnant and the cherished, the pursued and that which you would escape.
These things move within you as lights and shadows in pairs that cling.
And when the shadow fades and is no more, the light that lingers becomes a shadow to another light.
And thus your freedom when it loses its fetters becomes itself the fetter of a greater freedom.

                                                               On Joy and Sorrow
                                                                   Kahlil Gibran
Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.
And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears.
And how else can it be?
The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.
Is not the cup that holds your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter's oven?
And is not the lute that soothes your spirit, the very wood that was hollowed with knives?
When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.
When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

Some of you say, "Joy is greater thar sorrow," and others say, "Nay, sorrow is the greater."
But I say unto you, they are inseparable.
Together they come, and when one sits, alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.

Verily you are suspended like scales between your sorrow and your joy.
Only when you are empty are you at standstill and balanced.
When the treasure-keeper lifts you to weigh his gold and his silver, needs must your joy or your sorrow rise or fall.

Five years from now.....

Five years from now in God's mercy I want to be a good teacher who will teach in a public school in Canada, because I want to expose myself to the other people in the world and to help other people especially the children who wants to to go school. And after that I want to serve the people of God by entering the religious life.
I hope that all of dreams will be granted.....
" Loves Meaning"

When you're in Love, so many feelings enter your
Heart as you move on in life.
Sharing with so many of these feelings, knowing that life can
be so wonderful, brings on the true meaning of Love.
With many dreams being started and ending.
Like walking on a beach, with the waves gently hitting the sand
and the moon shines it's beams across the waters edge.
A couple walking in love.
The Love is so great it could rain or snow and
that Moon will still shine on them forever.
Their Hearts are as one and with every beat
brings happiness and joy into their life's
and Love will forever grow inside
them beyond time itself.
This shared Love sometimes brings on many
happy times and sad times,
that need to be shared and resolved to
return to Loves meaning.
With in time it self the true meaning can get lost
and those dreams are scattered over the
Heavens of love once shared.
This is the time to return to the walks on the
beach and loving memories shared,
to begin a new dream and learn from
ones left behind.

God's Message

You can hear the message in laughter,
It's there in the ocean's soft beat,
It's part of the rainbow that's after
The rains that fall at our feet.

It's an echo in the mountains above us,
It's a whisper in the desserts below,
It's the touch of the people who love us,
And the smell of fresh fallen snow.

It's a message that's all around us,
A message that God extends:
Peace to all our brothers,
And love to all our friends.
Gods  Message to the Silence of Our Hearts

In our everyday life, we tend to ask ourselves what is the meaning of all of this? Anong gustong sabihin ni God sa atin? Sa lahat ng nangyayari sa buhay natin, madami tayong lessons na matututunan which will help us grow more and become the person God wants us to be. Kaso in the process of learning, feeling ko dadaan ka sa isang obstacle course na bawat hintuan mo eh may mapupulot ka which will either make you proceed with the game or just have it as GAME OVER (wag naman di ba?) Go lang tayo ng Go.. Hindi naman tayo ilalagay ng Diyos sa isang sitwasyon na sa tingin niya na hindi natin kaya. He knows us more than we know ourselves. Alam niya ang kakayanan at hangganan ng bawat isa sa atin. He believes in each one of us, we must also learn to believe in ourselvess.
God loves us so much, we just have to remember that.
